Add-on Units For Wire Shelving

Add-on units for wire shelving are often used in lieu of using additional starter units when long runs of shelving are desired. The traditional starter unit contains four posts and the add-on unit only has two posts and uses “S” Hooks to support the add-on unit with a shelf to shelf connection with the starter unit. While most people think that add-on units are used to save money, because the unit only has two posts, the real benefit is the open space created by not having the posts obstructing storage capacity and more importantly the access to inventory stored on the shelves.
